My kids have excelled since moving here a year ago! Great country lifestyle and teachers are so passionate about academic and sporting progress of their students, encouraging always to do their best.

A remarkable school where each student is cared for both emotionally and on an academic level. The teachers go above and beyond to give our children the best learning experience and also give up their time after school hours to make sure they are getting the very best out of themselves.

Primary school at Narembeen DHS set me up great. After moving to Cairns and beginning Year 8, I was able to skip the first module/semester or most subjects, simply because of how well NDHS had prepared me. My younger siblings were also miles ahead of their new classmates. Can't be a coincidence. Great teachers, strong values and fair discipline. The Gold sports faction is the superior of the two, in case you were wondering. That's another thing - no matter the sport or season, Narembeen dominates the district at Interschool carnivals. What more could you want?

I have five children that all attend Narembeen District high. I also did all my schooling at Narembeen. You honestly couldn’t wish for a better school. All the staff go above and beyond their job. They all offer things in their own time, things such as homework class, Tech club, access to computers and internet, coach sports within the community. This is all done in there own time and is all free of charge. They have been nominated for primary school of the year twice in five years. In which they were finalist both time. Our year 5/6 just won the Rotary literacy reading program. The school principal was a finalist of principal of the year. As you can see you couldn’t get a better school.

My three children have attended this school from K to present in Year 6, K to Year 9 and K to Year 12. They have all been provided with an excellent education by a dedicated staff, preparing them well for further education at a senior high school level. The staff also provide a programme of extra-curricular activities which cater for a range of interests. The behaviour expectations are high and are upheld consistently.

It's probably an amazing school if you've been in the community forever or a really high achiever in both sports and education, however if you're neither, it's a nightmare.I was reluctant to give this school such a low rating, however I cannot recommend going here if you aren't either of the things mentioned above. This is the fifth school I've attended in my life, so I've met a lot of students and teachers throughout my school life, however by far this school is the least friendly out of all five I've attended.I attended for a year and a half, starting mid-way through 2021, however for about several moths, students would almost never speak to me, and some students were actually very unfriendly, despite being told at the start how friendly the school was, it a long and lonely several months before they finally spoke to me.Another thing that really bothered me is that almost, if not, all problems encountered by the teachers were solved simply by shouting as loud as they could at students, including myself, and it can even be for some of the simplest mistakes. Throughout 2022, this became more and more frequent towards me, and actually became frustrating and stressful as I would be shouted at and what felt like was being deliberately embarrassed in front of fellow students. This resulted in anxiety worse than I had ever had before, they got a councillor to help but did nothing to improve my mental health themselves, so much for boasting a mentally healthy school. Some staff were actually really nice, the ones I mentioned above know who they are, I will not name them, and it's a shame the few nice staff here have to read this, but what I mentioned in the above paragraphs is unacceptable.

My three children attend Narembeen DHS.I also visit regularly through my work. It is the best run, most inclusive school I have ever been involved with and the dedication and passion of the staff for what they do is clear to see. My children's progress here has been excellent and it's no wonder Narembeen was recently nominated as one of the best junior schools in the State. Staff take a strong stance on bullying and be aware that a negative review on here is from someone whose children attended for just 5 weeks. Other issues then forced them to leave town, not the school.

Narembeen DHS is an outstanding school committed to academic excellence while developing happy, confident and resilient students. The positive culture at the school is a credit to the staff and this culture flows through the whole community. Our kids are proud to be students at Narembeen DHS.

Such a fantastic school. I went there when I was a kid and moved back so my kids could attend a great school. They have a no tolerance for bullying and the students show great respect and behaviour when out and about. Couldn’t ask for a better team of teachers and staff they do a fabulous job.

My husband and I consider ourselves extremely lucky to send our kids to Narembeen D.H.S. Our children are given the most amazing care and education, matched with that of, or if not better than, any school in the country. The staff not only take interest in their schooling but are also amazing role models in our community. It's not often you find a school that matches the values and morals of those we teach at home. Our children are only better because of their attendance to this school.
